Assembly Item

Today was our turn to show something at Assembly so we decided to show our dot art tigers. This is a video of our practice before we went to Assembly.

ART - Hot and cold colour lizards

We have been looking at hot and cold colours and children got to use pastels to colour in a lizard in either hot or cold colours. We focused on blending our colours and not leaving any white spaces. All the children worked so hard and these are going to look amazing once we put them on their backgrounds.

St Johns Visit

Today we had a fantastic visit from the St Johns Ambulance. We learnt all about how the ambulance helps us, how to ring 111 in an emergency, what emergency services help us in different situations and what sort of equipment they have in an ambulance. We even got to bandage up a partner and we dressed some lucky children up like ambulance officers.

Dot Art

Today we started a new piece of art work. We are creating dot art tigers with a Savannah background to link in with our topic of fur, feathers and scales. Children really enjoyed using this new painting technique. We made the dots using cotton buds - this gave us nice round dots. 

Swimming Sports

The children in the junior school got to show off their swimming skills on Wednesday at junior swimming sports. All my lovely children did so well and did their best. I sadly didn't get to see them swim but they told me all about how they did once they got out of the pool.
