Maori Language Week

This week everyday we have been participating in Maori Language Week with a different Maori language activity. We have been counting to ten, singing songs, using the poi, stick games, colours and greetings. Here are some videos and pictures of us.

Telling the time

We are looking at telling the time this week. This is a game we played today.

News Groups

I have just added a page at the top called News groups - this has when the children's news days are. So have a look as the group names have changed and some children have changed news days. This will all be displayed in the classroom as well. Hope you are enjoying your holidays!! 

Ag Day

I hope everyone is having a fantastic holiday. I've been thinking about Ag day and all the lovely things we are going to create. I did a bit of shopping today, I  wonder what we might be making... So save up all your old newspaper 😊

Yoga

Yesterday we did some yoga in class and not your ordinary yoga it was yoga exercises that told a story so much fun! This was a great way to calm down after lunch and get ready for the afternoon. 

Fox Day

We have been reading Fantastic Mr Fox in class, so to end the term we had a fox day. The children thought we were just going to watch the movie today but after the roll this morning we created a foxes den and tunnels with the tables and tablecloths!! We then did our work in our dens. We made masks, did some subtraction fox maths, read fox stories and started some fox art. We then finished our day with the movie...such a fun second to last day of term which the children all needed!!!!
