We have been learning all about the Marae this term. So on Wednesday we went on a trip to the Marae in Tuakau. We all had such an amazing day! We had a powhiri to welcome us onto the Marae then the children got to participate in some different activities that were run by the year 7 and 10 students from Tuakau College. They used pois, learnt the haka, played stick games, string games, learnt a song, played some games and colouring taniwha and koru patterns. Here is a video of our trip to the Marae.
